S.Brothers and sisters: Abraham did not doubt God's promise in unbelief; rather, he was empowered by faith and gave glory to God and was fully convinced that what God had promised he was also able to do.That is why it was credited to him as righteousness. But it was not for him alone that it was written that it was credited to him; it was also for us, to whom it will be credited,who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,who was handed over for our transgressions and was raised for our justification.. ROM 4:20-25
"..God said to him, 'You fool, this nightyour life will be demandedof you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?' Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God." Luke 12: 20-21
O. We must be impowered by faith and believe in Gods promises and give glory to Him!
Christ was raised for our justification. We will be set free from our enemies.
Guard against greed. My life does not consist of possessions. I will have treasures beyond imagination in Heaven. Jesus says so and I believe Him!
A. I will not be so greedy wanting more and more books and other this that are not necessary in my life. Learn to share things like my books that have been read and now just sit on the shelf. I think I might be a book hoarder. Ever since my husband died I don't have the need or desire for so many possessions and plan on keeping it that way.
P. Jesus have mercy on me a sinner. The Joyful Mysteries Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet in song, Prayer to the Holy Spirit, Act of Contrition, Pope Francis Monthy Intentions.
S. Today I read the Scriptures listed at the top of this post.
O. Follow God with sincerity of heart. Give God the Glory and Honor. Faith is reasonable faith is loving. He is a personalable God. All is to be geared to the glory of God. Conform our will to God. Mary is oyr midel in Christian life. Pay to Ceasar what is Ceasars?
A. War against sin not each other. "satan and his evil spirits prowl about the world for the ruin of souls" (from the Prayer to St. MICHAEL) Confirm our will to God. Give God Glory and Honor. God leaves us open to reject Him. Offer all up to Gods will. Mass today On Ewtn Live.
Brothers and sisters: It was not through the law that the promise was made to Abraham and his descendants that he would inherit the world, but through the righteousness that comes from faith. For this reason, it depends on faith, so that it may be a gift,
and the promise may be guaranteed to all his descendants,
not to those who only adhere to the law
but to those who follow the faith of Abraham,
who is the father of all of us, as it is written, I have made you father of many nations.
He is our father in the sight of God,
in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead
and calls into being what does not exist.
He believed, hoping against hope,
that he would become the father of many nations,
according to what was said, Thus shall your descendants be.
R. (8a) The Lord remembers his covenant for ever.
You descendants of Abraham, his servants,
sons of Jacob, his chosen ones!
He, the LORD, is our God;
throughout the earth his judgments prevail.
R. The Lord remembers his covenant for ever.
He remembers forever his covenant
which he made binding for a thousand generations –
Which he entered into with Abraham
and by his oath to Isaac.
R. The Lord remembers his covenant for ever. For he remembered his holy word to his servant Abraham.
And he led forth his people with joy;
with shouts of joy, his chosen ones.
R. The Lord remembers his covenant for ever.

S. Read daily Scriptures. O. Abraham became our father in faith. We must walk in faith like Abraham. A. I will have faith in the words of Christ spoken in Luke 12:11b-12. I am to witness through the holy Spirit. Download and read the pdf of the Rules of Discernment of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Recommended by Fr. Thaddeus in his homily. P. Joyful Mysteries Rosary Divine Mercy Chaplet. Prayer to the Holy Spirit. Pray for those who have died with no one to pray for them. 1 Corinthians 13:1 - If I speak in tongues of men and angels, but have not love I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
Brothers and sisters:
What can we say that Abraham found,
our ancestor according to the flesh?
Indeed, if Abraham was justified on the basis of his works,
he has reason to boast;
but this was not so in the sight of God.
For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
A worker's wage is credited not as a gift, but as something due.
But when one does not work,
yet believes in the one who justifies the ungodly,
his faith is credited as righteousness.
So also David declares the blessedness of the person
to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not record.
R. (see 7) I turn to you, Lord, in time of trouble, and you fill me with the joy of salvation.
Blessed is he whose fault is taken away,
whose sin is covered.
Blessed the man to whom the LORD imputes not guilt,
in whose spirit there is no guile.
R. I turn to you, Lord, in time of trouble, and you fill me with the joy of salvation.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
my guilt I covered not.
I said, "I confess my faults to the LORD,"
and you took away the guilt of my sin.
R. I turn to you, Lord, in time of trouble, and you fill me with the joy of salvation.
Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you just;
exult, all you upright of heart.

So many people were crowding together
that they were trampling one another underfoot.
Jesus began to speak, first to his disciples,
"Beware of the leaven–that is, the hypocrisy–of the Pharisees.
"There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed,
nor secret that will not be known.
Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness
will be heard in the light,
and what you have whispered behind closed doors
will be proclaimed on the housetops.
I tell you, my friends,
do not be afraid of those who kill the body
but after that can do no more.
I shall show you whom to fear.
Be afraid of the one who after killing
has the power to cast into Gehenna;
yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one.
Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins?
Yet not one of them has escaped the notice of God.
Even the hairs of your head have all been counted.
Do not be afraid.
You are worth more than many sparrows."
P. for Prayer S. Read Scripture and listen to the reflections. O. What stood out to me was was the leaven of bread. Bread leavened with yeast likens to the sinner being full of sin. Then the unleavened likens to the righteous forgiven of sin. "There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed." A. Confess my sins. Live a righteous life. Hide not my sins no matter how big or small. War against sin. P. Meditate on the Mysteries of the Rosary. Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Pray for my family, Church, Country and the whole world. Way of the Cross. Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not record.
